Would you like your own web site hosted by IDF50. We are now in a position to offer members of IDF50 some free space and your own domain name in the form www.yoursite.idf50.co.uk there will be no charge for this service and there will be plenty of help from a few of our members to assist you to put a web site together, if you need it.

So how do you get your site..........

Registered members only

Firstly you must be a registered member of IDF50 and remain so whilst you have a web site. There are separate rules attached to owning an IDF50 web site but we would expect you to abide by the clubhouse rules as well as the web site rules. You will need to complete the IDF50 web site form and agree to the terms and conditions shown on the form.

Application form

The details requested on the form are necessary for security reasons. All information is kept confidential and will never be given to a third party. Once your application has been accepted your domain name will be registered, the registration takes approximately 24 hours before you can use it. You will be sent an email giving you a password (your username will be as it is on the Clubhouse). This will give you access to the file manager where you will be able to upload files and images to construct your web site.

Uploading your files

Uploading your files can be done as soon as you access the File Manager, even if the domain is not yet ready. If you feel you need help with this a Frequently Asked Questions link is on the File Manager, if you are still having problems just email the web site administrator who will either help you or pass your request on to someone who can. We have constructed a Frequently Asked Questions to help you use the file manager and this will be updated with further information as it becomes available.

How much space

We have set the space at 5Mb, this may sound very little but as you will see it is enough to construct quite a good site, including graphics. If you need more space please send an email to the site administrator. Should we find in future that this is not adequate we will review the situation and increase it if necessary.

Using your web space

The web space is being offered to allow members the ability to create their own web sites. Help will be available to those who have no skills in web site design. Please don't use the space just to hold images in order to hot link. This is not a condition, just a polite request.
