Well I guess the very first start of my painting was at the Secondary School in Dartford Kent...I obtained a leaving certificate for Art. 1961, I loved art even at that stage..
I always said I would do it when the kids were off hand.
My daughter who works in the church office put me onto an Art Tutor who teaches watercolours in the carehouse which is on the church ground.
I started three years ago on a Wednesday morning for two hrs
in the beginners group, and it was about six months later Joan our Tutor asked me if I would like to go into the Monday morning group with the advanced group,I was very nervous but I did.
Then last year I started teaching myself oil painting, and I just took to it like a duck to water, and loved doing it...
A couple of the pupils were interested so Joan asked if we would like to have an oil painting group,so she teaches that also. I must admit I do like to paint oils on my own at home even though I go on a Wed morning..it's more of a social group for me.
We have had a couple of watercolour Art shows at the church but no Oil shows yet.
I would have sold over ninety watercolour and oil paintings for private collections here in Aust,u.k.and usa..
Finally I would like to thank Snowy Owl (Peter) for encouraging me to take up art, and also still very encouraging
and a good friend too..
Kind regards..
