I have tried downloading some tiles to put into PSP.
I have tried putting them into - Patterns, and - Gradients. They go into the file OK. But, when I click to open either of those in PSP - they do not show up as being there. The tiles which came with with PSP are JGD. Those I downloaded went as PSP. I tried changing them to J Peg. But they still wouldn't work. I recently reinstalled PSP, as I had a problem with it. I had previously downloaded tiles - and they worked. Can anyone help, please. These are very good tiles, and I really would like to keep them. They are for use as flood filling.

Not really my area, so unless I find something related to your problem, I will leave it to Skyrunner to assist you.

I have just been into Irfan View, and tried re naming.
I changed the extension to JGD - and jgd. Well - I tried to do that, but it wouldn't accept either.

Hello Deltadawn,
I have just put a *.psp and a *.jpg file into the Patterns folder and it worked ok. The JGD extension should go in the Gradient folder I think. When you say you clicked to open them, do you mean you tried to find them in the Materials Pallette as a pattern and they weren't there?

Not found anything of help so far.
Jasc was acquired by Corel Corporation on 14 October 2004. Paint Shop Pro Gradient now Corel Corporation. The file extension JGD belonged to Jasc PSP but have been taken over by Coral. Searched Coral for info on that extension and with no result. Thats not to say its still valid though, just cant find anything on it.

Deltadawn
My PSP version 7.0 has .BMP files in Patterns and .JGD files in Gradients, if you stick to that you should be OK.

Yes, Bob - when I click on - Styles, and the pattern window opens - they are not there.
(Even though they are in the PSP folder in - My Computer.) It is 7 which I have, Woodrow. As they won't change to JGD, I shall have a try now with BMP.

I am back.
Guess what, Woodrow. BMP works in Patterns. Many thanks.

Sorry I wasn't around on Friday to answer your question Deltadawn. (Went to Crufts.... saw some nice greyhounds.
Are your patterns all working okay now? |
