I have tried downloading plug ins - but I just cannot get them to install.
I have also tried to find a tutorial about them - but can't. I don't know the first thing about them. Can anyone help please. I have been into - File - Preferences - File Locations, and this is what is there.

Not to hot on this subject but I think Sarah and Skyrunner will put you right when they read your post.

Hi Deltadawn
Plug-ins and Filters are little mini-programs that you access through a graphics program, and can do amazing things with. Most of them are made for Photoshop, but the good news is that they work in Paint Shop Pro as well. The main difference when you come to install them in PSP is that, unlike Photoshop and Corel, PSP doesn't have a dedicated Plug-ins folder, so you have to create one. That's a simple matter of going into PSP's program files, and creating a folder called "Plug-ins" and putting your downloaded plug-in files in there. (Create a different sub-folder in there for each separate plug-in so they don't fight!) Actually, looking at the screenshot you posted, you may well already have a Plug-ins folder. (It's a long time since I had PSP) Open up that tab to the top right (Plug-in filters) and you may find that's it. On your screenshot, you are open at the "Tubes" tab. A PSP tube is something different, it's that brush that sprays little images, like flowers, balls or flies. (Good one, the flies!!! It would help at this stage if you said exactly which plug-ins you are trying to install. Then we can go on from there. |

If you look at the Help file it tells you all about them and how to import them to PSP.

Thanks Skyrunner - Yes, I did do that (put a folder in), but they still would not show anywhere in PSP program!!!!
Maybe that is where I went wrong - I put them all in the same folder. This is the first one which I tried - and got nothing!!! http://www.vizros.com/ Sarah - I am afraid the Help section does not speak plain English. And I found things about plug ins - but not how to install them. :?

Skyrunner.
I had been having problems with PSP recently - so I reinstalled it the other day. Guess what!!!!! I tried that Vizros again - and did it the way you said - it has worked now. Many thanks.

Here is a tutorial on how to unzip plug ins and where to put them.
http://intimatexpressiongifts.com/in...rs-in-psp.html When you have done this they should show in your Picture Tube tools in Paint Shop Pro if not, click on files then Export and scroll until you find the plug ins on your hard drive and then press OK. You can only find Export if you open up a picture in the Paint Shop Pro window.
