Question Flummoxed

I have just noticed that, should I wish to make a part of my text bold, post a photo, or do anything other than type plain text, I can't see where the other facilities are anymore.

Come on, what have you done with them ..... and where are you hiding them?

I assume this is about posting on the forums rather than something about free web space. Click on User CP in the yellow menu band. In Your Control Pannel, under Settings and Options select Edit options. In Miscellaneous Options at the bottom of the page select either Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls or Enhanced editing - WYSIWYG editing.

Attaching pictures is done using the Manage Attachments button in the Additional Options section below the input text box.

Have a read of the FAQ - plenty of good information there.
