Too Good to Lose Thread, Look out I am Back

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, the 12 to 14 days that I was expecting turned out to be a bit longer
Things did not go as planned as you have probably guessed, the first op to do the by pass never worked they had taken a vein from my left leg and put in my right one, but after 2 days the surgeon decided that it had not worked so he amputated my right leg below my knee. Three days after that he decided again that he was unable to clear the infection so he amputated again, this time above the knee. I am glad to say that this seems to have worked, I really did not fancy just being a head in a bed if he had gone on cutting bits off . Anyway I came home today loads of Physio to be done over the next 12 months but at least I can now sit in the wheelchair at the computer and keep up with the gossip on this site It seems that I have a lot of catching up to do so I had best get on with it. This site will keep me sane

Many of us have been concerned about your absence, but thank goodness you are back. I am truly sorry about the trauma you have experienced, and I expect everyone will feel the same. But at least you have retained your sense of humour. Hope all goes well for you from now on, and you can be assured of our continuing friendship.
