Technical Problems Thread, Posting Pictures - help needed

Please will someone tell me what I'm doing wrong when I try to post a picture.

Forum - L click on Insert Image and box appears

Photobucket - Roll mouse over IMG Code whilst holding down L mouse button. When I have the whole address highlighted I then R click over the photo, then choose copy.

Forum - R click in the box and choose paste.

This works on other forums but not on here; all it does here is produce a little box with a red cross in the centre.

Not 100% on this one but I believe that you can just paste the url of the image into this forum , OR is there not a clickable link in Photobucket that will do this for you

Hi serpico. I'm sorry to say that I couldn't find anything to help on Photobucket and I couldn't solve the problem here either.

Hi Gandalf. I did as you said but I still got the same response i.e. the square with the little red cross in it.

I have been back to Photobucket and uploaded a couple of pictures by Direct Link - which will serve a purpose for the time being but I would really like to know how to just post pictures on here.

Thanks for your joint help and, although I am still unable to do what I want, I assure you that your input is greatly appreciated all the same.

Monika: Have just used your two photobucket links and copied/pasted into Insert image dialogue box and heh presto! do not remove the already inserted http:// in the dialogue box just paste link in.
