Freeware Thread

There are some very good applications that are freeware (not trial ware but free to download, use and keep) "eg" CCleaner, there are free applications covering a wide range of Computer uses from reputable sites such as Download . Com, so i was wondering would a Freeware Thread compiled by members be viable ?

I think its great that the freeware threads are to be updated (many forums don't bother and you keep finding dead links)
