Default OK I'll post

I am new and to be honest could write about things all day but worry about boring folks.. Its that old lack of confidence thing. I have just looked through Poetry and decided that if I sent a copy of a lovely poem someone sent to me (When I get old I'll wear purple) I am bound to be told that it has already been posted. I checked food and drink and thought perhaps you might not want to be bothered with my very easy lemon cake.
I spent ages trying to cut and paste a member's signing off quote as I liked it so much but could not figure out how to do it. I realised someone had asked about AVG then found that I could offer no better advice than had already been sent. So I'll just pop in now and again but now I'm off to my Geranium Club meeting (yes, seriously) and hope it does not descend into a slanging match about who did or didn't do what at the recent Annual Show. Next time I hope to sign off with a flourish if I've learned how to do it. Diana

Oh my goodness, Diana, I got quite emotional when I read your message.

If I may introduce myself, together with GBE, I run the Poetry forum.

To put your mind at rest, not only do I sometimes post things that other people have probably posted, the chances are I post my own stuff more than once.

But hey, we're mainly over 50, and with the state of our memories, we think we've never read it before!

I've got friends coming round on Saturday evening and was wondering what to bake. Please let us have the recipe for your Easy Lemon Cake.

So come on girl, let's all wear purple!

I dont like purple.

Post whatever you see fit, Florald. All of us had a first posting somewhere along the line, and we are all human. Dont worry too much about it. It can be quite daunting the first time, but go for it anyway.

Purple is my favorite colour Florald and I get many senior moments, the best part is that you don't remember what you forgot in the first place so no hassle,so just post what ever you feel like, oh!! I forgot and you are very welcome.

If that's THE Shangrila Kid, it's good to see you back.
FLORALD
I see you've made your first posting. Let's hope there are many more of them. If you have any queries just post them in the relevant forum. If you have any answers we'll be glad of them too!
Hope you enjoy your time on IDF50.

Thanks Tezzer, I never thought about checking the dates. It's Eddie's posting that threw me, it's more than 12 months since the previous one.
