Library Thread, Anne McAfrey. 1926-2011.

It is with great sadness that I learned earlier this weekend that Anne died on Tuesday 22nd November at the age of 85. She is the author of the Pern series featuring dragons fighting a plague that fell from the skies. She also wrote the Acorna the unicorn girl series, the talent series, Crystal singers, and a few more. In her own way she changed the face of science fiction/fantasy stories.

Oh how sad. I loved those beautiful Dragonrider books, read them all, Crystal Singer too.

I had no idea she was that age!

Thankfully, the books will live on. Thanks for letting us know PP.

Her books were all great reading. She was the inspiration behind my Nanowrimo stories.
