High hopes for HIFU - the ultrasound breakthrough in the battle against prostate cancer
A treatment for men with early prostate cancer but with much milder side effects than existing therapy has been discovered by British scientists. The procedure uses ultrasound to 'melt' tumours instead of putting patients through surgery or radiotherapy which damage healthy cells around the gland....................
