Default Thunderbird and New Sky email

Is anyone using Thunderbird and the New Sky / Yahoo email. I am having problems configuring Thunderbird to collect my email. even after following The instructions published by Sky I think they must be referring to a different version of Thunderbird

My problem with the new sky/yahoo email was an inability to open e-mails.
Solved by disabling Adblocks and Do not track me.

Thanks Actal, I have no problems opening my mail even though the security programs mentioned are installed and enabled. I just can't get the configuration in Thunderbird right

I have had to disable my email account as there are 27000+ on the server trying to download!
There is a lot of advice on their website if you click on the computer icon the right. There are numerous problems which they are trying to fix and these are updated regularly.
I spoke to an advisor who had no clue why my email was trying to escape the new server and seek refuge on my Mac. There is a solution for windows apparently.
    Good luck!

Have you tried the following for Thunderbird from Sky help screen, these settings work fine for me.

Set up a POP account in Mozilla Thunderbird

Select Tools followed by E-mail accounts.
Select Account Actions and then Add Mail Account.
    Enter the following details:

Your Name: Your first and last name
Email Address: Your Sky Yahoo! Mail address
Password: Your Sky Yahoo! Mail account password

    Click Continue.
When the window refreshes select POP3 and the suggested settings will be displayed. Click Manual config.
When the window refreshes, enter the following information::

    Incoming POP3: pop.tools.sky.com, Port: 995
    Outgoing SMTP: smtp.tools.sky.com, Port: 465

    Hope this helps

Well I have tried all the settings suggested and simply ended up with the error message below. So I have now uninstalled Thunderbird including the profiles and then re installed it and started from scratch and now at last I have it working Thunderbird working again
