Default Windows 7 Usage Guides, How-To Hacks, Tips and Tricks

Although Windows 7 is a most reliable operating system , there are still plenty of problems, issues or errors that may occurs due to complexity and diversity of the system configuration, especially when upgrading from Windows Vista. Many Windows 7 users may look for guidance or tips and tricks on using Windows 7 HERE:
Windows 7 Usage Guides, How-To Hacks, Tips and Tricks (Complete List) Tip and Trick

Kas and others do you think we should have a separate heading for Win 7 posts and problems etc...just a thought?

Bazcaz,

As sensible as that may sound, there is no precedent. We didn't do it for XP nor for Vista......so I'm not sure we're ready to start what would be a whole new forum exclusively for Windows 7---leastwise, not yet.
I'll pass the thought over to the Graham, though.

Meantime, perhaps we could get by with prefixing the thread titles to denote the W7 stuff??

I think there are already Forums for specific Window versions.

Believe our Computer pages should be more general.

Woodrow,

You're quite right, of course---just as there are other forums for XP and Vista.

I'd just hate to see our members be forced to migrate elsewhere for their computer tips and assistance.

As more of us change over to Windows 7,
it will become the more prevalent basis for more of our conversations (just as XP and Vista were in their successions).
In the meantime, let's maintain a balance for all and not lose any of the robust community we've gained over lo' so many years.

Kas

I agree with Kas.
I feel as with all the previous versions of Windows similar problems occur whatever version you use.
