    Default London's Ready

Long queues at Heathrow, closure of M4, missiles in East London, G4S security disaster, army called in, O2 & Natwest systems gone wobbly, record rainfall.

    Bring on the Olympics!

Lots of fish in the river, my resident buzzards chicks have fledged, going to be a granddad again this autumn, and the rabbit that has been eating my wife's flowers is in the freezer.

I can't wait for the Olympics.

So I've decided to be underwhelmed now instead.

    I wish I wasn't!
So many restrictions being put in place around here, some roads are already closed "Except for official Olympic vehicles".
Drove past Fred Wigg Tower this evening, could see the missile installation on top, it's been chucking it down for hours now, I've driven through many flooded roads.
As of Monday week (23rd.), at work we are having to alter our mail collection times, many post boxes will be sealed because we won't be allowed near them, there will only be two collections each day instead of the usual five or six.
Traffic is already being squeezed, and the games haven't even started yet!

We've had only one collection for years and years!

Well. I will help ease the problem by not going anywhere near London!
