We have been here before, but I guess it depends if we stop playing at the Worlds policeman, do that and then one can question the need for such units, mind you some other nation would soon snap them up.
Perhaps they are just testing the water to gauge public reaction - the government of the day is not unknown to use this tactic before to see what sort of response they get.
