    Default Wonthaggi, Australia

My holiday I still remember was in Australia and went with a friend and her family for a month...loved every minute of it..On our way out we changed at Hong kong and flew down to Sydney where we stayed for two days ..seeing all the sites..Darling Harbour, the Opera house, Torongo Zoo (Koalas,my favourite) and Bondi Beach and the shops...then flew down to Melbourne, where her partners families picked us up in two cars and we drove four hours south to Wonthaggi where they lived..We used this as a base while we travelled around..Melbourne, was wonderful too..we drove to Adelaide...(fabulous) and stopped off at bed and breakfast on the way and then drove back the coast road..calling in to see the twelve apostles..breathtaking!. Philip Island, where the fairy penquins come into shore at dusk to nest for the night..we sat for hours on the beath watching the water for them to appear and it was wonderful.went to a few rescue places and koala sanctuaries. On our way home we spent a couple of days in Hong Kong..but my heart was left in Australia...I loved it.....

Sounds lovely. I've always wanted to go there.

We've toyed with hiring a campavan and touring. Maybe one day - if ERNIE comes up trumps. (I've given up with the lottery....)
