I started painting last August 2007.
Like most people I think,I have always wanted to do something creative and thought "When I retire maybe I'll try painting".

Well, in 2003 I got talking to a lady called Sheila on IDf and we found that we both enjoyed poetry and had similar tastes in music.

We met at two IDf50 get togethers in 2004/5 and got on so well we started going out together. I retired and moved from London to live here in Norfolk with her, and we got married in February 2006.

We both became interested in photography and Norfolk is a great place for taking pictures.

Sheila had been painting for some years but hadn't done any since 2000 and wanted to take it up again. So she persuaded
me to join an art class with her in 2007.
Now we pick up the brushes whenever we have an hour or two free, and we give each other a little moral support when the
pictures arent going so well.

I know that I am a long way from being an artist, in fact a very raw beginner, but I take a long time over my paintings (I have to) and continually try new things. Although I have only done water colours so far, I hope to try oils and Acrylic quite soon.
I have no problem deciding which pictures to show you because this is everything I've done since last August.      Eddyo
